DeWalt 18V Battery Connector
This socket connector fits on top of a DeWalt 18v battery. The brass terminals are reclaimed from a USA 110v wall socket.
Separate the two terminals which normally form one one leg of the duplex 110v wall socket. Trim away the spring brass and bit from the screw leg and discard.
I used the screws to secure the terminals into the printed connector. The last thread of the two screws are closed by design to prevent the removal of the screw. I used an abrasive wheel to remove the last thread allowing it to be removed and reused.
Use the screws to secure your tap wire, or you can solder a wire directly alongside the threaded brass tab.
I power a DC to DC buck converter reducing the 18v down to 5v used to power a raspberry pi.
