Customizable Wireframe Egg

        THE FABERGÉ LIKE PARAMETRIC WIREFRAME EGG :

Here is a new 3D model I created myself, based on the great idea of a good friend.

This egg was inspired from Fabergé Eggs (see "the Coronation").

The settings are adjustable on CATIA v5-6R2013, such as the number of lines, the period of the spiral, and the size'n'shape of the columns. This CAD model was one of the hardest I've had to design so far, so please tell me what you think of it ;)

We printed multiple objects with different settings, and it all look great ! These are truely beautiful, like jewels. And the whole structure is really strong (I could not break it by pressing in my hands !).

No support is needed over the first millimeters, we printed this way on an UP! printer, and it worked very well. I recommend using ABS, as you may want to use aceton later...
