Noisemaker - a.k.a. ratchet, gragger, or grogger

This is a take on a common toy that, as I recall, my kid brought home from Chuck E. Cheese and then left where I could step on and break it. Naturally any self-respecting Papa-nerd would have to do as I did and design and print a replacement!

This prints in totality: Unless there's a fail during printing, at the end of the run you'll have a finished product untouched by filthy human hands!

I've never known what to call this, but just now some Wikipedia-ing reveals that it is actually considered to be a musical instrument (why?!): "A ratchet, also called a noisemaker (or, when used in Judaism, a gragger or grogger, is an orchestral musical instrument played by percussionists ... The ratchet is similar to a football rattle, which is sometimes used in its place when a particularly loud sound is needed. ... a similar device called a policeman's rattle was used by British and Australian policemen to summon assistance." And I thought it was just dreamed up to annoy parents!

My son likes the “key” handle on this version: He shows it to people and tells them to wind it up, intimating that doing so will make it spin. “Keep winding… keep winding… .”
