Tidy up your wiring once and for all. My cables were constantly getting into the wrong places, and sometimes even ruining prints.

This cable chain safely guides the wires from the extruder carriage to the back of the case. All parts print without support and snap together without nuts, bolts or glue.

Instructions

For a Solidoodle 2, you will need to print 24 links, plus one each of the nema mount and round end links.

High infill for strength is advised.

It is important to clean up any stringing carefully as to not have small obstructions in the cable path.

It's probably best to remove the standard wiring sheath. Feed the extruder stepper plug through from the nema mount to the round end first. It is a tight fit but should just make it. Feed all of the other wires one by one from whichever end is more convenient. You may like to use a long wooden skewer to help push the plugs through the links and your other hands with tweezers to stop snags.

Nema end snaps onto extruder stepper and round end wedges into rubber grommet.

Recommended to be combined with a belt protector if the cable chain sags and rubs on the left y-axis belt:
