Summary

I was working on a chess set (soon to be published) and wanted to make 4 pieces taller. I stretched four of them along Z axis.
I then printed them all to see them because I liked the way they looked together.

Note: Due to bases being different heights due to stretching, I am remodeling the short pieces. Set will be shared when I am happy with it.

How I Designed This

This is the 5th rendition of this set. Originally drawing years ago in AutoCad 2d as templates to cut two foot tall wood pieces. Used Slots to slide together. Used Alibre to create 3d models that were parametrically controls so the models could be generated for any height, width or material thickness change. The flat design will also be made available even if it is boring compared to these pieces. Now, brought back into AutoCad and revolved the perimeters. Then added details to Queen and kings crown. Improved strength for printing by adding spiral to shaft.

This is a test print after revising just heights in MakerBot software. This has changed the base heights on the pieces and will not be acceptable. I will remodel the pieces for the taller dimensions.
