How I Designed This

Basic Sketch and Extrude

            <div><p>I used an image of circle monograms just to get an idea of the layout. In AutoCAD I created the circle at 1.5 to 1.75 depending on the person. Within the circle starting from the center I started drawing lines to form the letters of the initials.<br>Once I had the layout of all three letters, with connectors, and ring to attach to a necklace, then I region the entire drawing, extruded each part to about .15, and subtracted the voids in the letters.<br>Then I imported the 3D model into 123D just to see how it turned out.<br>Save the file as an STL from AutoCAD or let 123D do that for you so that you can take it to the 3D Printer.</p></div>
