Solidoodle Cable Chain (Modified Nema bracket and round end)

I printed Lawsys original design and spent 15mins feeding all my wires through the chain, only to break the clips off the motor mount when trying to clip the chain onto it. So rather than spend 15mins re-feeding cables through a reprinted end, I instead spent an hour or more modifying the original STL so I could add it on afterwards without having to take the wires out of the chain. (It seemed like a good idea at the time). I also updated the round end so it prints properly sideways for strength (and the flat side leaves a gap for the LED wires).

EDIT: I have updated the design a bit, the new changes are:

  • Made the left side a bit more compact to gain ~5mm of room
  • Added a guard to the bottom of the left side to tuck your hotend connectors behind with a hole for a zip tie.
  • I angled the chain clips upwards by ~10 degrees to reduce the sag in the chain a little (you can rotate the other (round) end in its hole to also help with chain sag)
  • Made it a wider so it doesnt wiggle on the motor as much
  • Made the right-side clip a bit tighter to hold the motor better
New file is called Nema Clip 3.stl
