Summary

This triangular bottle holds round toothpicks, and allows you to shake them out one at a time through one of the holes in the top. It has a snap-on cap on the bottom.

Instructions

The cap is printed bottom-down (on the build plate), but the main body is printed with the top surface down, so make sure you can get a reasonably good-looking finish off your build plate. Raft and brim are not recommended, unless you plan on a lot of extra finishing. Printing right on the glass (say, with glue stick or hairspray) produces a nice, smooth surface. Setting your path overlap to completely fill in around the holes will help, too.

This was intended to be printed in nylon, but I couldn't get good adhesion to the bed (see above), so I made it in PLA. The snap features are designed around a flexible material, and will be very stiff in PLA. They may work better in ABS (or nylon), but in PLA you'll need to file down the mating features to reduce the force needed to snap in. It's easy to do, and done on hidden parts, so won't affect appearance.

The triangular shape is to funnel the picks towards a lower hole as you shake it at a 45 degree angle or so. Thus, the picks must slide nicely against the inner walls. Make sure your printer settings produce smooth inner walls as well as smooth outer ones, or else the picks will hang up inside and won't come out nicely.

I printed this one at 100% infill for strength (housewares get abused around here). You may be able to get away with less, but watch for strength in the snap features.
