Hi-Hat Stand Mount for Gen-16 Direct Source Pickup

The Gen-16 Acoustic-Electric Cymbal System's Direct Source pickup is designed to mount to a bottom hi-hat cymbal and reside inside the hats. While this is very cool, it does require enlarging the standard 1/2" center hole in the bottom hat to 15/16" in order to accommodate the supplied mounting adapter. This mounting adapter allows the pickup to sit under the hi-hats so the bottom cymbal does not have to be modified. It's also useful for adding a second DS pickup for the bottom hat (as shown in the last photo), since the standard setup only uses one sensor, attached to the top hat. With two pickups you can separately mic the top and bottom hats and send the two signals to separate DCP channels for independent tone shaping.
