Crane Kick
I had 8 rods, scavenged from a broken umbrella, which I wanted to use in some sort of project. This is the outcome. Each of the rods was about 14.5 inches long and .114 inches diameter, made of fiberglass. The parts are modeled to be 2.5 times too large so you will need to scale them by .4 to use rods of the same dimensions as mine (hence the title "unscaled").
There are 7 rods, with dimensions as follows,
1 - from left foot to hip - 6 inches
2 - from left foot to right foot - 7 inches
3 - from right foot to lower chest - 6 inches
4 - from right lower leg to left upper leg - 4.5 inches
5 - from hip to left hand - 7.5 inches
6 - from left upper arm to head - 2.5 inches
7 - from upper chest to right hand - 4 inches
I printed all ellipsoids as tall and skinny as possible, with brims, and at about 30 mm/sec which gave nice results. Beware the left upper leg pieces were a pain to get unstuck from the print bed.
If built well it should balance over the left foot and some minor twists can remedy most tipping issues.
