Mini F1 Racers

These are templates I give to students to customize their own F1 Racecars. Students research Aerodynamics and then make decisions based on what they learned. You can find lesson materials at www.tinyurl.com/miniracer. Wheels and axles are harvested from HotWheels that either students donate or that I purchase for the class. The launcher is a standard Hot Wheels launcher with a speed checker in between the two pieces of loop track I use as straightaways. The loop track has higher sides to ensure the lightweight cars do not hop out. Cars have 5 different design features to choose from currently:

• 20 body styles
• 5 front wings
• 5 sidepods
• 5 rear spoilers
• 5 mass options (no box, empty box, 3 weights)
