Dimer of Sickle Cell Hemoglobin Proteins

At the core of many biology classes is the discussion of hemoglobin. This important protein helps carry oxygen through the blood. However, with a mutation where one amino acid is changed, it will start to polymerize. This polymerization forces cells to 'sickle.'
