Tracked robotic base "Ryszard"
Hello!
This is my first bigger project. I decided to design modular tracked platform with provided mountpoints. Track link geometry was borrowed from Drogerdy Raspbery Pi robot (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:652851). To connect links you need 2mm diameter metal rods (i used bike spokes).
I am using Pololu 37D motors (https://www.pololu.com/product/2826). Due to the size and weight each bigger wheel need two 10x15x4 bearings, and each smaller wheel one 5x10x4 bearing. Motor-Wheel connection is realised by two M4 grub screws (Place for M4 Nuts is also provided). To connect Frame Parts you need M3 screws.
Final dimensions of fully assembled platform:
336 mm long
237 mm wide
78 mm height
Update 0.1
-Added floor
-Added Arduino Mega Mounting plate
-Added flap in floor to easy acces to Arduino (mounted by four 4mm diameter and 4mm height neodymium magnets )
-Changed geometry of Track Assembly Connector, Frond Connector and Rear Connector
I bought a lot of filament ( about 6 kg) to make sure that i can finish this project and eventually improve it. Actually i have both Track Assemblies, both Assembly Connectors, Front and Rear Connector printed. Track Assemblies were tested by pluging motors to battery, it works smoothly and fine, so you can print it. I wouldn`t change it.
