Post-Printing

Pull apart the knife assembly with a pair of pliers and get the scissors out without bending them up. If you have a drill press handy you can drill out the rivets instead, but pliers work fine. Use the small spit ring to attach them to your keychain. Add the sheath and you're good to go.

How I Designed This

My Victorinox Swiss Army Keychain Knife finally gave up (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00004YVB2/ref=cm_sw_su_dp) - lost the tweezers and the side plastic plates started coming off. I've bought a handful of these over the years and they last for a while. I find all I really need is the scissors - they can be a knife for opening boxes and such, too. So this sheath does the trick and it's a little smaller in your pocket. The walls could probably be a little bit thinner even, to cut a few more mm if you want to tinker with the 123D file.rnrnI took a photo of the closed scissors. Turned it into an SVG using InkScape. Imported into 123D Design, scaled and extruded it to give it width. Built a simple solid block around it and subtracted the thick SVG profile. Printed a couple samples to check sizing, scaled the model in Repetier to get the fit right. Pushed those changes back into the 123D model, rebuilt the STL and posted.
