Summary

For use with VEX EDR Cortex. Makes removing battery clip from the Cortex much easier than before, uses the same battery wires as before. Simply remove the original battery clip by using a screwdriver to pry back the angled-lock pieces. Next just slip the original metal terminals into the new 3D printed battery connector. Saves finger tips, time, and students to resort from pulling on the wires to disconnect it.

The infill is not very important, as this piece is very small anyways. Print with support, however very small over hang anyways.</p></div>

Post-Printing

Cleaning

            <div><p>Drill out the connection holes for the wire as to make them fit better, then follow the steps taken in the pictures to remove the old battery connector with a flat head screwdriver, then squeeze the bottom of the metal connectors better as to make it fit better. Next make the side flanges stick out more with an x-acto knife, then push the wires through, with the help of a small screwdriver. After everything is pushed through, and tightly in the connector, test the connection on the cortex, and then the charger. At first these connections may be tight, but they will work themselves out. Finally tape the wires down, and hot glue the wires in the connector so that no one can pull the wires away from the terminals of the battery or the connector.
