Outlaw 180 Landing Pads
The standard HobbyKing Outlaw 180 comes with 23mm aluminum posts that screw into the legs with one screw. Well, the flight controller is slung under the frame so you can't remove the legs and the first time you land on one leg before the others they bend all out of shape.
These replace those posts with wider and stronger mounts with zip ties to spread the forces out. These should actually work on anything that needs about 23mm of lift (the thin cover of the flight controller is about 18-20 mm away from the bottom of the arms and has about 20mm wide arms (probably more as they are zip tied on but this was to handle the force of landing at a bit of an angle). There is a channel up the center to prevent fouling the motor wires.
Works a treat. When you fly like I do you hit a lot of planets. Didn't even manage to break a prop. Of course the carbon fiber props probably help.
