replicator filament moisture resistant housing
My printer is in the same room as my exercise machine and I think the filament gets pretty sweaty.. So these hopefully will keep the in use filament dry. pockets in the back panel to hold silica desiccant beads to absorb any moisture that gets in. A work in progress I have already gone from halves to thirds as the long edge was shrinking by about 1.5mm.
The 200mm x 3mm acrylic tube was about ÃÂÃÂÃÂã17 for 250mm on ebay and they very nicely cut it as two 125mm for me at no extra cost.
This is a work in progress and I will post parts as I get them finalised.
New 3 part back and nut are uploaded. The nut might only be useful if you have the same clone machine as me, it uses 30mm plastic tube for the filament holders.
Adding parts for 220mm tube to fit the bigger 200mm reels. Might fit one of each size as two of the bigger ones practically touch leaving just a 6mm gap between tubes, that might make getting the cable run between them awkward.
Got one side complete used a 32mm hole saw for the exit hole and had to make a longer version of my filament support. Also elongated the reel support hole to move the centres apart. Just need to find some suitable sponge or foam to plug the exit.
