Summary

My friends painted rocks for me for my birthday and I wanted something to display them in. So, I made an 11 in by 13 in by 2.5 in box made out of clear acrylic. It says ~My Rock Collection~ which is raster cut onto the sides.

Instructions

I used Box Maker (http://boxmaker.rahulbotics.com/) to create the template of the box. I made it with a width of 13 inches and a depth of 11 inches. The height was 2.5 inches and the thickness of the material was 0.1181 inches (3 mm). I saved it as an ai. file in Adobe Illustrator and then put text on the sides. I printed out my parts on 3 mm clear acrylic on the Epilog Laser using the following settings:
Raster Speed: 100
Raster Power: 60
Vector Speed: 9
Vector Power: 100
Vector Frequency: 5000
Then I used acrylic glue to put my box together, leaving the lid off so that it could hold things.
