COD Chert-pebble Breccia

Chert Pebble Breccia cemented with kimberlitic lava from Crater of Diamonds State Park, Arkansas. Chert pebbles are fractured, probably from the explosive force of the kiberlite lava eruption.

Crater of Diamonds State Park is the only kimberlite pipe on Earth where the general public can search for diamonds.

Collected in 2006.
