A short lens protector cap and clear lens for the Hero3. Specifically for use with a Tarot 2 axis Gimbal.

UPDATE: I added a bevel'd version as well as the non-beveled version.

I borrowed a concept that I saw on youtube.... If you find the o-ring, you can do this on the cheap... Also, there are glass versions of the lens available online.

Go get a Mini-Maglite from Lowes, they are like $8.00. Inside beside the light are 2 replacement clear lenses. You are going to use one. Also you can buy replacement glass lenses if you like... shop for those online

Unscrew the lens cap off the maglite, Tip out the plastic lens, and pick out the thin o-ring, you are going to need it as well.

Print one of these.

Once printed, put the clear lens in, then the o-ring, then slide it on the front of your Hero3.

This is done to fit the Tarot Gimbal and is a very short length because of the capture ring on the gimbal. The weight should be negligible.
