Summary

I created these boxes to store the pieces and cards for Vlaada ChvÃ¡til's excellent board game called Space Alert.

The boxes are sized for this particular game but I included the parametric openscad files as well so that you can easily mod them for any other purpose.

Instructions

The models are using 0.6mm wall width, so they are best printed with a layer thickness of .3mm. My stock emaker Reprap Huxley prints them perfectly.

Files:

Action card box with lid: print this box and put the action cards inside
Threat card box with lid: print this box and put the threat cards inside
Little piexes box with lid: print this box. It contains compartments for the different kinds of things you need for the game.

You can find the OpenScad files attached which were used to create these STLs. If you have a layer height other than 0.3mm, you will need to change the thickness of the lid and the height of the gap on the box the lid slides into. The lid should be a multiple of your layer thickness (3 * 0.3mm => 0.9mm in my case) while the gap should be around 0.3mm and a multiple of your layer height as well (0.3mm for me). You can change these values by changing the lidThickness and lidVGap variables in the scad file.
