Summary

This is a replacement for the bed adjustment crank on a Ryobi bench drill press. Mine was broken when I got it at a thrift shop and never fully worked.

Instructions

The handle needs to be attached to the crank wheel using a single #6-32 1 inch machine screw and a single hex nut. Drop the retainer into the large end of the hollow handle and flip it (if needed) with a screwdriver so the small end is down. Drop a hex nut into the handle and it should fall into the nut trap in the retainer. If not fish with a screwdriver from the bottom.

Thread the bolt from the bottom through the hole one the crank wheel until the threads engage, then tighten. Retainer should be tight against the crank wheel while the crank handle is free to rotate.

Optionally drill a hole in the main shaft with a 5/64" bit and tap a #6 machine screw (3/4" should work) against the flat part of the shaft.
