RPi tray with captive M3 nuts
The changes to the original are as follows:
- Added cut outs for a pair of M3 nuts underneath so that the Pi can be attached though the original holes using M3 x 8mm screws
- Increased the width of one of the struts carrying one of the mounting holes. (Photos show an earlier incarnation - the attached STL is has the wider strut).
I made these changes in order to attach a RPi to my Mendel90 dibond kit from Nophead. The Pi Tray was fixed using double sided tape to the top of the PSU and the Pi itself fixed in place using a couple of 8mm screws and washers. This keeps all the electronics together and enables the use of a short USB lead from the MELZI to the Pi.
I have powered mine using the +5V PSU wires which were cut short and covered with heatshrink during assembly of the kit.
