Summary

This is a mounting ring for a drill press depth guage. I have a cheap drill press and the original broke years ago. This replacement should clamp to the arbor and the guage pointer bolts to this.

Instructions

Sketched in solidworks. I made mine to be similar to the original part but thicker in the area where the original broke. Mine was printed in ABS at 0.5mm layer thickness with fairly high infill for strength.

NOTE: I noticed when I installed the mounting ring on my drill press that the inner diameter of the ring was a bit tight. I had to sand quite a bit out to get it to fit onto the drill press. Perhaps I measured the original incorrectly or the tolerances of finished parts from my printer are too large. If I knew more about OpenSCAD I would make a parametric version. Also, since my part is thicker than the original, the threaded end of the rod for the depth indicator did not extend far enough through the part for the washer and nut to fit. I ended up recessing this hole a bit.
