Summary

Inspired by a failed miniature print of my Big Thick Gyro Cube (see orange photo), I designed a gimbal based on the gyro cube components.

This can be printed without support.

Since the only "closed" portion is the inner gimbal sphere, the three parts can be printed separately (separate files provided) instead of on a single platter.

The "base" part needs to be printed in the orientation given (on its side) in order for the nib to print correctly.

My (scaled to 70%) print didn't actually come out very good, and I actually broke it taking it off the platter. But some ABS glue later, and a little warping with a heat gun, to form a tighter hold on the nibs, and it's functional.
