YAPB (Yet Another PokeBall)

I designed this to hold a Pokemon character I printed for a five year-old grand-daughter. The hinge is oversized to make it sturdy for use by smaller children.

Three inch (75mm) Pokeball with optional magnetic catch and stand. Thin walled (2.5mm) for maximum interior space, the design provides small holes in the bottom and ring into which pieces of filament can be inserted to act as alignment keys. There is a through hole in the button and holder to align it to the ring. Simply insert the filament into one of the pieces and cut it so that it protrudes about 2mm. Minimal cleaning was necessary for my print. The SCAD file is included to allow you to play with the design.

UPDATE adjusted hinge so that it closes properly, changed position of holes in button, holder and ring so that there are two pieces of filament holding them so they can not rotate. Ball can be completely assembled without glue.
