UAH Space Hardware Payload Plate

This is a base plate for a payload that offers stability and drag for deceleration. Holes exist in the arms of the shape to allow for easy pass through of parachute lines. The center bore allows for an MCU and other components to sit below the shape, making for a lower center of gravity.

There is another file which contains one fourth of the whole shape to fit on smaller printers. Of course, print 4 of them and then glue together for full shape.

I have also included another file. It features the base plate and a cup. The cup should be placed inside the hole to carry any electronics that will be on board. The plastic cup was made by Alexander Trushkin.

Current view is of the bottom of the plate.

Made 9/18/2016 for a Space Hardware Club project at the University of Alabama in Huntsville by Matthew Methe.
