Summary

A sculpture designed to be a lamp; see the instructions. Could be used as a sculpture. I printed it out in two-tone; blue and fluorescent blue. Tourou is the Japanese name for a lamp.

Version 2 has a side cut out so it is easier to get the wires inside the lamp.

This needs no supports, it worked fine on my Rep 2. Probably best to print out at a large size because of the thickness of the top spheres and that will allow for larger bulb.

Here are the settings that worked with my Rep 2:
Temp 238 (I found that 230 was too low and resulted in poor quality - styrofoam like quality)
Speed: 30 mm/s
quality: .3 mm (the thicker extrusion was the suggestion by Talman for a more transparent look and it worked fine till the top when it is more horizontal)
2 shells
10% infill

Turning it into a table lamp or nightlight:
Materials:

two prong led light socket (Home Depot)
12 V transformer (The Source or Home Depot)
on/off switch (Home Depot)
any wires for lengthening the distance from the light to the wall plug
12V led light (in this case there are two led lights as part of the bulb - Home Depot) (larger ones won't fit)

Get a 12 V transformer, - one option is from The Source (Radio Shack) and another from Home Depot's light department (used for led lights). Purchased a 12V led light, the one in the picture is the perfect size for the default size of the print, make sure it is the right size to just fit the first level hole of the print. I included holes in the back for the wires - it is probably best to tie it off there so it is doesn't get accidentally pulled. Wired the 12V transformer to a two prong light socket, (see images) and then hot glued the outer rim of the led light and quickly pushed it up into the light house from below into the the first level hole to affix it. I also added an on/off switch, which can be purchased in the same area as the two prong light socket at Home Depot. The light does get hotter than expected so this could cause problems with the hot glue but we shall see, so far so good.

Update: don't use hot glue if you leave the light on for any length of time. The led lights get hotter than I thought they would and it melts the hot glue. I will have to rethink this problem. ...I have now created a led light stand for this purpose:
