Instructions

Laser cut from 3mm material (I used masonite)
Assemble with glue or tape (the internal structure is there to provide support for the upper surface, it just slots together)
Connect to shop vac
Place the object to be vacuformed on the surface
Turn on shop vac
Place a melted sheet of plastic (ie a plastic plate in a masonite frame) over your object
vacuform away!
machined porous polyurethane foam (butter board) makes a great form since air can pas through it
A great source of cheap thermoformable plastic is plastic plates (you can also laser cut a holder to hold said plates in your toaster)
