This is a simple PVC filament spool that can hold multiple 1KG or 5LB spools.

Why spend the afternoon printing and assembling a spool holder when $3-$5 worth of PVC assembles in minutes?

Requires:
1 6' Schedule 40 PVC tube
6 L-shaped elbows (slip fit)
2 T corners (slip fit)
hacksaw
Optional: PVC glue, PVC Cutter.

Cut 5x1' (~.3m) sections of PVC tube.
Cut 4x2" (~5cm) sections of PVC tube.
Assemble as shown.
I left it entirely unglued - it is pushed together firmly by hand. If you decide to glue it, you can glue the base, but you need to leave at at least one vertical arm and base side unglued so that you can open it to remove the spools.

The spool holders sit right on the horizontal PVC tube. I find that this is the right amount of friction so that the spool still rotates freely, yet don't spin on their own, unrolling the filament. Ideally you don't want the spools to rub against each other (creating more friction).

As specified above, it can hold 3 x 1KG spools.
Note: I used four-way tees at the upper corner for "expansion", but it's not necessary - the elbows work fine.
