Summary

I used to scrollsaw clocks for wedding gifts. For my sister-in-law I decided to 3D print one instead.

Instructions

The stl files are quite a bit smaller than I printed, I scaled all of them up 330% (largest I could do on my Replicator 2). At this size I used a 2 3/4 inch clock insert. If you scale a significantly different percent you will need a different clock size.

Most of the pieces are printed once with the exception of some of the brackets. I printed in PLA since the pieces needed to fit together accurately. I used makerware to slice since the raft helped prevent these large flat pieces from lifting while having an easy raft to remove. Since the details are all on the top it is fine to print at a low resolution, I did 0.34mm. Tramming is very important on the big pieces! They cannot warp or they won't fit together. On the bases I used Sugru to get them to stick together, I used standard school white glue for the rest.
