Summary

The two calibration switches on the bathroom scale failed (plastic feet broke). They are used to prevent being weighed until the scale is calibrated to zero. Decided to put the new switch plate on top because more space was available.

Instructions

Print Parts, Part 1 is the retaining cover, Part 2 is the button, Part 3 is the switch base . . .

Drill hole in scale cover and hole in Part 3, lead calibration wires through hole, attach one part of calibration metal lead (+) to standoff in base, the other part of calibration metal lead (-) to standoff on button . . .

Place flexible weather stripping in base to act as spring . . .

Place button into base and adjust calibration metal leads (by bending) to make contact when weatherstripping is compressed . . .

Place retaining cover over top of button and base to retain button inside base, drill hole in back of retaining cover for a screw to press against the backside of the base . . .

Use double sticky tape to attach assembly to scale cover . . .
