Basic Ventilation Port For 2.5" Vacuum Cleaner Hose
This is a very basic ventilation port made specifically to mount to whatever and accept 2.5" vacuum cleaner hose. I made this for my 3D printer's enclosure box to vent fumes to the outdoors by means of a length of the aforementioned hose. This doesn't have any threading or stop to it, so basically you would insert the end of the rough cut hose, and then you can either glue it in or duct tape it or whatever floats your boat. Six little 4mm mounting holes are provided for a firm connection to whatever you are ventilating.
As an afterthought, I have included a simple enclosure box for a 60mm x 25mm CPU cooler type 12VDC fan, and a 0.5mm thick gasket plate as well. The fan box is designed to bolt onto the lower side of the ventilation port, with the surface of whatever you're ventilating between the two, to provide extra ventilation force if need be. The gasket might work out pretty nicely, printed in TPU, although I have yet to test that theory. When printing thin objects such as this, always remember to let them cool completely before attempting to remove them from the print bed, Not doing so can severely warp the object, even making it useless if the warp is bad enough.
The overall design was made for THIS "dust collection hose" available from Amazon, which has an outside diameter of approximately 68mm.
