Coin cell battery holder that can be used in wearable electronics

I needed a cheap way to use coin batteries in a wearables workshop with kids.

After downloading several designs, I decided to go KISS (Keep It Stupidly Simple). So I designed a new one in Tinkercad, being the basic idea is to make something like a button!

The first design was an easy holder that had holes to just sew some conductive thread and make the connections.

After the workshops we redesigned it to add a few improvements like:

• bigger holes for the needle (from 2mm to 3mm)
• include a notch so the battery can be easily extracted with any pointy object
• duplicate the + hole so the orientation of the button when sewing doesn't matter
