Impact Rockets

Impact Rocket
Designed a sounding rocket for my engineering class with the purpose of achieving an aerodynamic rocket that is to deliver a payload comprised of at least 20% of the rocket's total mass to a target 100 ft from the launch point with minimal to no structural damage. Launch rail had to be no more than 30 degrees from vertical. All rockets will accommodate an A8-0 engine.
Course Project: Required modeling, analysis, and measurement of the dynamic behavior of the mechanical system (Impact Rocket). The rocket's dynamic behavior was a culmination of formulating the rocket's equations of motion in one, two, and three-dimensional space under the influence of gravitational, thrust, aerodynamic, and other forces. To ensure completion of course deliverables it was critical to implement the design process which allowed for the creation of a final prototype by means of additive manufacturing.

*I would advise against attempting to launch the Impact Rocket. I assume no responsibility nor liability, should individuals decide to use the published model for means other than a static physical representation of a model rocket. See the model for what it is, a tool for learning.
