Summary

This is the front bezel for the 3.5" drive bay on a small form factor HP5800. It may fit other models but I have only tested it on the 5800.

How I Designed This

Background Information

            <div><p>The original bezel on one of our 5800s cracked.  I attempted to fix it with epoxy.  The epoxy held for about a week.  Unfortunately, if you lay the tower down on a desk and sit the keyboard in front of it, the corner of the keyboard is the same height as the bezel.  It can be accidentally pushed into the bezel.</p><p>I measured an original one with dial calipers.  I then drew the object in AutoCad 2011.  I printed a prototype and decided that I wasn't satisfied with the strength of the objects.  So, I added a vertical support in the middle and added .02 to the thickness so I could sand the front for a smoother appearance.</p></div>
