Deformation Truss

This model is applicable for demonstration of many engineering concepts. When entering the topic of trusses in statics it can be used to physically show how structures react to forces in real time. Allowing students to use their hands to deform the beams can create an intuitive understanding of how internal forces are created. The truss model can also be used in strengths of materials on the topic of axially loaded members. Since trusses direct forces axially through members, this is a practical demonstration of where axial deformation exists. This too can help students create a more hands on understanding of axial deformation.
Use 5/16" threader rods and nuts to assemble to truss.
