Summary

This is a model of a replacement head pad for the audio-technica AD300 headphones. This is only the head pad, not any of the parts of the suspension mechanism. However, this head pad (single piece) replaces both of the original parts of the head pad while removing its ability to tilt backward and forward.

If you can, go for a 0.1mm layer height, you'll get much nicer edges of the holes.</p><p>I used a 15mm brim but if you go really slow, I guess you can succeed even without it. No support should be needed.</p><p>I also had to cool my bed down to 70C after the first layer to prevent model wobbling, but that is probably only my problem since I usually print at 90 or 100C bed temperature. I also suggest blowing at the model real hard or going slow because the layer time on this model is very short.</p><p>This model is the right pad. If you need the left one, flip the part in slicer.</p></div>

Post-Printing

Remove the brim (if any) and snap each had pad on the appropriate axis of the suspension mechanism.

How I Designed This

The original pads on my AD300 got damaged so much that when you snapped them on they just fell off the headphones right away. This was because the super small plastic bits holding on to the axis on the suspension mechanism broke off. Because audio-technica does not offer replacement head pads, I decided to copy the original head pad simplifying it into a single piece in the process. This means I removed the ability to tilt forward and backward, only the left-right tilting remains.
