Customizable Optics Base with magnet and bolt

This is a customizable base to hold rods attached to optics equipment for optical experiments. If you invert it, it also makes a good rod safety cap. It is based on http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:28133

The included STLs are for an 8mm smooth rod, and M3 nuts and bolts.

This component is inspired by the Open-source optics project, whose goal is to radically reduce the cost of scientific optical hardware, by the Michigan Tech's Open Sustainability Technology Research Group.
