PrintRbot + 2.1 Digital Micrometer holder

Holds the cheap micrometer available on amazon in place so you could precisely lever your print bed.,

MADE IN USA

Print 2 parts

Usage Notes:

  1. I am able to get my bed +-0.02mm level in around 2-5min or even less

  2. Make sure to heat up the bed before leveling since it could warp,

2.1 Set your Z at around 10-20 so the device is under minimum stress for best result

  1. Ride Y up and down until you get same results all the way across
(I have noticed that my aluminium bed is slightly warped towards the center ~~0.05mm so I simply compensated that on the sides)

  2. Repeat on the other side

  3. Done!

You will need :

  1. 4 m3 bolts - to keep it together I used 50mm, (however anything over 25 will do the trick),
  2. M3 nuts (Optional) To make it very snug I inserted 2 m3 nuts inside the mount hole of the digital caliper and threaded the middle bolt through them. makes this thing very sturdy and elevates error while moving it to the other side

Final Notes:
as this clips on, there are 2 positions that it will snap to, Make sure you establish which one you are using.

I like moving the extruder to the opposite side of this device since it snaps on, there will be a slight flex on your tubes so might as well give them as much room to spread the load and prevent any bending, the results are much more accurate that way as well if you keep the extruder as far away as you can.
