MendelMax 2.0 Z Hole Covers
I've been on a quest to improve the print quality of my MendelMax 2.0. My gold standard is the output of the Replicator 2, and I'm getting closer and closer. These parts are my latest improvements and definitely make a difference.
I've been using Ohmeye's Z Isolators (shown in yellow in the photo) from here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/3uyotd400xp2ef5/2pLnjCypcV/STLs/Z%20Isolators/ohmeye_mm2_isolator_release%202x.STL
And I've also been using my stiff Z couplers: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:173335
Together I've been getting mostly good print quality. But sometimes I ran into problems. Ohmeye's Z isolator has a single bump that sits under a screw hole on the metal bracket on the MM2. It turns out the isolator can catch on that hole, reducing the print quality. This part (light blue above the yellow isolator) provides a smooth surface for the Z isolator, completely covering the holes in the bracket.
