Summary

Everyone else has a tool holder, so why not the rostock max? The top is just a bunch of hexagons, but they hold my wire cutters, scissors, wrench, pliers, glue stick, hobby knife, kabob skewers and so on.

Instructions

I printed the brace.stl file and cup with support. The footLo.stl file was brittle in ABS so I printed in Taulman 618 nylon. To prevent curling, I added mouse ears to the corners, so they should be sliced away after printing.

The arms fit snugly into the feet; I did not use glue.

I did not have to disassemble anything to install the tool holder. The dimensions work out to match the existing hole pattern in the rostock max "cover brackets" so no drilling is required, only screws and nuts.

The brace.stl is held to the cover brackets with one screw and one cable tie. The cable tie goes through the horizontal hole on the brace and around the cover bracket.

The cup.stl is for small items stored vertically (hobby knife, pencil, allen wrench). You can use up to two of them and they just sit in the hexagons - held by gravity.
