Safety Razor Spacer
This is a 0.2mm spacer for use with old-style safety razors. If you like the elegance of a safety razor, but find that it is not quite giving you a close enough shave, a spacer may be the answer. In short, a spacer creates a very small gap between the base of the razor and the blade, which results in a more aggressive shave. I have printed mine in red as if to say "DANGER....I HAVE DEIGNED TO MAKE THIS SAFETY RAZOR DECIDEDLY LESS SAFE!" If you print this and use the spacer, please read and follow the instructions, and most of all, take care while shaving as your safety razor is ready to provide an aggressive close shave, which coincidently increases the chances of nicks and cuts. Printed and used correctly, this object allows those of us with coarse hair to use a safety razor for shaving. The first picture is the printed spacer next to a razor blade. You can see the holes match up, as does the length. But the spacer is about 4mm less in width than the blade. The second picture shows the assembly of the razor with the spacer. The order goes; razor top, then razor blade, then spacer, then razor bottom (base). The third picture is a close up of the assembled unit and you can see the gap between the blade and the base that the spacer creates. LEGAL NOTE: I hereby absolve myself of any and all blood spilled while employing this 3D print in your shaving regimen. Be careful and happy shaving!!!
