Summary

I created this adapter to mount a grill (150x150mm) and a 120mm 12V fan to the wall on the outside of our house. It features a water drain at the bottom.

I use this fan to remove excess CO2 from the house.

Infill: 20% (I tried 10%, but 20% gave me better results)
Number of shells: 2
Layer height: 0,30mm

Print both side and mount them together. You can use glue for that. Then slide the fan it (cable at top) and mount the grill on it. Drill holes in your wall and mount everything to the wall with screws.

I use this with a fan to remove excess CO2 from the house. The CO2 levels are monitored with a Netatmo module. Raspberry Pi reads the CO2 levels from the Netatmo API. If it is above a certain levels the fan will be switched on (I defined 3 different speeds and CO2 levels for that). I use a PI weather daughter board of web4robot dot com to switch the fan.

I plan to monitor the outside temperature too, and if it comes below a certain point the fan will switch off (due to the minimum operating temperature of the fan).

I use a Papst 4412F/2GL fan because of the low operating temperature and cheap price.
