"On Such a Full Sea" Fish

The perfect companion for your copy of "On Such a Full Sea!!"

Finally, after months of printing, I allowed myself to upgrade to the truly amazing Makerbot Replicator. Now my prints look much more professional.

This fish design is a 3D (2D really) representation of the fish design found at the beginnings of chapters in the novel "On Such a Full Sea", written by Chang-Rae Lee.

The third picture above shows the original design from the book that I made this 3D file of.

"We, at the height, are ready to decline.
There is a tide in the affairs of men,
Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life
Is bound in shallows and in miseries.
On such a full sea are we now afloat,
And we must take the current when it serves
Or lose our ventures."

-William Shakespeare, Julius Caesar

The original picture of the koi is not mine. I made the 3D file representation, but the original picture is not of my design
