Summary

A fidget spinner thingy with LEDs. If you want to print this for other people, do so free of charge or charge for time and material at most. If you print one, please hit the "I made one" button and post some pics, I'd like to see ;)

You can print it solid (100% infill) to get more of a gyroscopic effect but that's entirely up to you. This object is designed to have push or press fit parts added to it. Depending on how well your printer is dialed in you might have to adjust the print size a little (1 or 2 percent over or undersized). I suggest you use the "Test Section.stl" file for testing fitment, it'll save you time and filament as it's only one "wing" of the spinner.</p><p>My settings were:<br>.2 layer height<br>2 shells<br>3 top and bottom solid layers<br>10% fast honeycomb infill<br>no raft, no supports<br>1 layer, 1 shell skirt (for priming purposes)</p></div>

Post-Printing

Batteries

            <div><p>The design is meant to be used with CR2032 batteries. They are widely available and can be found in cheap 8 packs at Ikea for instance. Positive side goes up.</p></div>                <p class="detail-title"><strong>LEDs</strong></p>            <div><p>I'm using 5mm LEDs. The shorter pin goes on the bottom, underneath the battery. Bend it ever so slightly so that it makes proper contact with the battery.</p><p>The other lead (positive) goes on top and needs to be bent so that it provides proper contact with the battery when latched under the ridge on the edge of the compartment. See pictures.</p></div>                <p class="detail-title"><strong>Center Bearing</strong></p>            <div><p>The design calls for a standard 608 style bearing. eBay or Amazon is your best bet. Any 608 will work but apparently the ceramic ones will provide the longest spin times. I've found that normal 608 bearings over time will get longer spin times too as the grease runs thinner. YMMV though.</p></div>                <p class="detail-title"><strong>Button caps</strong></p>            <div><p>I haven't included any caps since there are too many out there already. I personally like mine a little concave to give me some proper grip.
