Summary

These are sides/fenders for a pinewood derby car. The idea was to make the proportions more like a real car, and limit the amount of wood work to make a pretty nice car.

It is regulation size. The fenders barely stick out past the wheels, and it is about 7 inches long.

I had to add about 1oz of weight to get to 5oz.

Post-Printing

1 - Cut the block to size

            <div><p>Once you have both sides printed, line them up on the car. You may want the wheels temporarily on the car for this. Once you have everything in place, mark the top profile to be cut with a pencil.</p><p>Cut the block to shape.</p></div>                <p class="detail-title"><strong>2 - Glue the sides on & finish.</strong></p>            <div><p>I used gorilla glue on the sides. Once they are dry, sand &amp; fill the seams until you're happy with the finish. I used elmers wood putty.</p></div>
