Summary

Cupcake Upgrade to increase your cupcakes print quality and build area to become similar to the replicator. This upgrade will increase your cupcakes build area to 7" x 5.5" x 4.5" (175mm x 140mm x 115mm) and print quality improvements using 1.75mm plastic using an MK7ish extruder.
The majority of instructions are included in the thing files section as a word document. I will improve and complete them with time.

Instructions

I can create more detailed instructions if there is interest, the upgrade is not very difficult to incorporate, but some parts have specific orders of assembly to ensure that they all fit into the small cupcake frame.
The parts should fit onto the build area of a cupcake, however, I can not verify that the original cupcake can print the parts as my cupcake was disassembled. so let me know if you try. Also, the Z support was difficult to print with a flat bottom surface (without warping) and is relatively important to be flat for a level build surface.
The major parts that are required for the improvements will probably be $200-$300 and are the following:
1) MK7 Extruder assembly (http://store.qu-bd.com/product.php?id_product=11)
2) 4x Pololu 16 step motor drivers (http://www.pololu.com/product/1182)
3) Some 1/4 inch bars, 1/8 inch thick aluminum for the extruder mount and some assorted other hardware that can be further defined in better instructions. I tried to reuse as much of the original cupcake parts and hardware to keep costs down. (for example the Z axis 1/4 inch bars are from the Y axis assembly on the original cupcake)
4) strip board assembly for the pololu motor drivers. (I can upload a printable assembly that will support to pololu drivers with some additional pololu wiring, parts and resistors for a simple sordering solution.)
