Summary

Completely customizable gimbal / gyro toy. Loosely based on some other designs I've seen floating around. This one, however, allows you to set your own clearances for a perfect print.

Customizer note:

This design seems to timeout on Customizer pretty easily. Try turning down "# of segments", or switch to cylindrical rings instead of spherical rings. If all else fails, download OpenSCAD and be prepared for a couple minutes of rendering.

If your rings stick together or fall apart, adjust "Joint Clearance" in customizer.</p><p>However, in the long run you should try to calibrate "XY Size Compensation" (or similar) in your slicer. This will make it much easier to design and print parts with tight clearances and small features.</p><p>Be a <em>little</em> bit careful removing the rings from the bed. You don't want the pins to snap off or come out of their holes.</p></div>

How I Designed This

Made from scratch in OpenSCAD. Inspired by a couple similar designs I've seen. I got sick of dealing with other people's guesses for clearance and decided to make a customizable version.
