PrinterBot Simple anchor/Control Panel w/LEDs or switches!

PrintrBot Simple anchor brackets / Control Panel with or without 5mm holes for 5mm LEDs or toggle switches!

I noticed from across the room that my Printrbot simple (with volume tower upgrade) had a lot of swaying motion when it was printing. I made this anchor plate to mount it to a 12" wide piece of plywood along with a custom modded ATX style power supply
Immediately I noticed my prints were coming out smoother with almost no visible layer lines! Anchoring the printer greatly improved my prints!
There are 2 Anchors here. One that has the 5mm holes for 5mm leds and toggle switch and one that only has the screw anchor holes (first version also has screw holes). Either can be used in the front and I do believe you could use one in the rear as well if you do not have the tower upgrade (I haven't tried it).
For the tower upgrade, I just drilled 2 holes (in front and behind) each rear leg. Then just toss a zip tie through the holes and over the leg and tighten down to secure the rear legs on the Printrbot volume upgrade tower's legs)
To mount the front anchor plate, I first turned the anchor upside down on my 12" x 1/4" thick board, right in front of the printrbot simple and marked where I wanted the holes for the anchor. Then drilled them to fir the 4-40x1 1/4" screws. I placed the screw heads underneath the board and tightened the nuts from the top of the anchor plate. This allows me to easily secure them with "blue" screw adhesive or adjust the tension without moving the printer. My anchor board sits on top of an equal size of neoprene to even out the screw heads and zip-ties on the bottom and protect the under-lying surface. (could use felt or foam as well.)
